Odessa S. Hamilton - Proprietor & Lead Consultant

 

Born and raised in London, England, Odessa derived from a family of professionals and was raised in a strong, yet modest way. She was taught from a very young age the importance of diligence, hard work and humility. As a product of her strict teaching, Odessa was accepted into the third top University in London. Her mother, Elaine, an international business manager for a major banking corporation, coached and steered Odessa during her career endeavors. In the infancy of her career, Odessa played a key role in planning large scale conferences, seminars and training events. After graduating from school, Odessa pursued a career in operational management that further strengthened her business knowledge and skills. Her career path led her to Human Resources where she spent years recruiting great people; forming powerful teams. Her experience as a successful corporate business manager and mother of son, Jay, led to a highly demanding life, which necessitated strict, yet inspiring organization. Odessa’s husband Christopher, a Tax Accountant, has also been a pioneer on several fronts. Together they have proven to be a formidable team.

Odessa can be described as ‘high energy’, with a natural tendency to be highly organized, yet surprising calm. She is renowned for having a rare, combined thrill in people, charity and strategic coordination. To further her event planning experience, Odessa gave time to planning events as an extra-curricular activity for friends and family. From booking venues and vendors to designing and hand making stationary, she did it all and thrived on it.

While planning her destination wedding from London, Odessa realized her true love and passion for coordinating events. However, it was far from easy planning it remotely and unfortunately they weren’t in a position to hire support. Tasks such as food and wine tasting, visiting the venue or meeting the photographer were impossible without spending thousands of dollars on flights and accommodation. Therefore, she just had to trust her instincts… and fortunately it was a success. Knowing that this should not be the way for a bride and groom to enter into marriage, Odessa decided to

Danielle Moore - Senior Event Consultant

  

Born and raised in London, Canada, Danielle grew up in a busy family with three brothers.  Growing up as the only girl she formed a tough skin, with a very soft center. She can be described as competitive and driven, with a sense of compassion and thoughtfulness. Her creativity has naturally helped her become resourceful, detail-oriented and well-versed in the arts. Danielle has always thrived on hands-on work that is built on artistic inspiration.

 

At the University of Western Ontario she earned a four year bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in criminology. In her fourth year, she met the man of her dreams while on a girl’s trip to Manhattan. She had never been before and was blown away by the size, pace and noise of the monster city.  On the last night of the trip she made eye contact with her now husband Steve; shortly after she moved to New York City with him. It was as close as it comes to love at first sight.  Together they enjoy traveling the world, eating great food and hosting personal parties and events.

 

Although the study of society and crime interested her, she soon realized her true passion was event planning.   So, she completed an intensive Professional Bridal Consultant course and began to research the world of weddings. Along the way she worked extensively in the hospitality industry.  Building a strong history in everything from hosting, food service, catering, fine dining, mixology and management.  Recently, she planned her own wedding in her home town.  All the compliments she received on the organization and detail of the event gave her the confidence to start coordinating weddings.

 

Danielle’s creativity and eye for detail is refreshing. She prides herself on quality service and seeing her clients smile, as they experience the day of their dreams – seeing their vision and her planning come to life!

Jeimmy Martinez - Event Consultant

  

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Jeimmy and her family came to New York City; like many other families, with the intentions to better themselves. In order to do so, her parents always pushed her and stressed the importance of obtaining the best education possible.


Jeimmy obtained a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Hospitality Management from CUNY - New York City College of Technology. While working on a "mock" event for her Events Management class, she was required to put into effect an A to Z plan for her "event"..including, real site and venue selection, time-line and scheduling, logistics planning, vendor negotiations, etc. While working on this project, Jeimmy realized that Event Planning and Coordination was her passion and what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.


While going to school full time; Jeimmy was also working in the Financial Services Industry, where she built a ten years career. Yet, never forgetting her love for event planning and always volunteering to help for the company's philanthropic events.


After hearing more than enough times from friends and family how talented and good she was when helping them plan their special events, Jeimmy decided to become a full-time Event Coordinator and join the Oventz team. This was the best decision of her life, as not only does she love the amazing team and their commitment to excellence, but she also loves building relationships with clients and helping them make their dream events come true.

Claudia Alexandru - Event Coordinator


  

Claudia is dedicated to creating unique events.  An unwavering passion for making a client’s vision to come to life has drawn her to event planning.  She has a persevering, ‘type A’ personality with strong attention to detail giving her the ability to turn dreams into reality for anyone desiring a stress-free event for themselves and their guests.

 

Born in Bucharest , Romania , Claudia and her family immigrated to the United States in search of a future providing greater opportunities.  The experience has strengthened her will and desire to succeed, aiding in the development of her strong work ethic and reliability. She studied Corporate Communication and Industrial and Organizational Psychology at CUNY Baruch College where she gained distinctive inter-personal and inter-cultural communication skills which have helped her gain a true understanding of a client’s wants and needs as well as an ability to reach key audiences.

 

Claudia immersed herself in the hospitality industry at an early age taking on various roles where she gained knowledge of food, beverage and operational management while acquiring a solid foundation and appreciation of catering.  Throughout her career, she has built powerful and trusting relationships with a variety of professional companies in the industry.  Working with experts in all areas of event coordination has allowed her to constantly grow, enabling her to put a creative spin on traditional elements.  As someone with a true enthusiasm for event coordination and customer satisfaction, Claudia devotes herself to those whose circumstances leave them little time to execute a perfect event.

 

An avid reader who enjoys traveling, Claudia has an unfaltering desire to keep growing as a planner.  Her creative intuition and attention to detail have proven to be advantageous characteristics throughout her career.  Claudia’s greatest concern is always the satisfaction of her clients and she goes to great lengths to make the planning process an enjoyable one.

Valerie Dinglas - Event Coordinator

Born and raised in Queens, New York. Valerie comes from a family of four sisters. Generally playing the role of the eldest, she learned responsibility and leadership at a young age. Her strong upbringing taught her organization, multi-tasking and budgeting. These qualities along with her creativity and resourcefulness have helped her become the go-to person when it comes to planning get-togethers, events and trips for friends and family.

 

She attended The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and majored in Graphic Design. In her second year, she got involved with Student Life and was elected as Secretary/Treasurer and eventually was elected as Special Events Manager. Taking on the task of personally planning all the events, she won recognition from her advisors and peers. This secured her position as Special Events Planner of FIT for the next 2 years. 

 

Although she majored in graphic design, she realized her true passion was event planning. Knowing she could apply those design skills to anything, she graduated with a Bachelors in Graphic Design and an Associates Degree in Advertising Design and went for her dream. She worked with a small events planning company for a couple of years until the owner left.  His partner, CEO of their financial company, impressed by her hard work and organization took her under his wing as his Assistant.  After 3 years working with a stable and good job,  she realized she could no longer ignore that creative void. She went on her own and pursued organizing and designing. As a sole proprietor, she has become a freelance personal assistant for a few clients, creating and maintaining their financial records. In addition, she organizes and designs residences and offices. 

 

Valerie's organization, creativity and eye for aesthetics has helped her to make a living doing what she loves.  After doing her own wedding in the Summer of 2008, her talents could no longer be denied. She joined Oventz, to nurture her

                                                                              true love of planning weddings and events because she knew anything less was a waste of her strengths.
